# Virtual Lounge

Your Virtual Lounge is your restaurant's branded digital storefront — a mobile-first landing page where guests discover your latest offers, explore your menus, and take action, all in one place. Think of it as a link-in-bio page built specifically for restaurants, with native support for Oddle's menus, booking, and redeemables.

Share your Virtual Lounge link on social media, print a QR code for your tables, or display it at your entrance — guests tap through to everything that matters: current promotions, menus, reservation booking, and sign-up offers.

## What Your Guests See

The consumer-facing Virtual Lounge lives at `lounge.oddle.me/your-restaurant` — a mobile-first page designed to be shared and tapped on a phone.

From top to bottom, guests see:

* Your restaurant name and logo
* An **Announcement banner** if you've set one (e.g., "Try our new spring menu" or "Closed on Mondays")
* **Engagement Cards** — a horizontally scrollable row of story-style image and video cards, each with an optional button to drive action
* **Links** — full-width tappable buttons that lead guests to your menus, promotions, booking page, or sign-up offers
* Your **social media icons** in the footer

If you have multiple stores, each store also has its own lounge at `lounge.oddle.me/your-restaurant/store-name`. The main brand lounge shows all your content; each store's lounge can show a filtered subset — you control which Engagement Cards and Links appear per store, making it easy to show store-specific menus or promotions.

## First-Time Setup

The first time you visit **Engage > Virtual Lounge**, you'll be prompted to create your Virtual Lounge:

1. Select **Setup Now**
2. Choose your custom URL — this becomes the unique address for your lounge (e.g., `lounge.oddle.me/your-restaurant`)
3. Select **Save and Continue**

Once set up, you'll land on the Virtual Lounge hub where you can customise content, get QR codes, and track performance.

## Setting Up Your Virtual Lounge

Go to **Engage > Virtual Lounge** in your Merchant Admin, then select **Launch Editor**.

The editor has four sections: Engagement Cards, Links, Brand Colours, and Social Profiles. Select **Save Changes** at the bottom of the page when you're done.

### Engagement Cards

Engagement Cards are full-screen image or video cards — displayed like Instagram Stories — that showcase what's on at your restaurant. Each card can include a button to drive guests to a menu, an offer, or a sign-up form.

To add a card:

1. Select **+ Add Card**
2. Upload an image or video (1080×1920px, 9:16 format, max 20MB). If uploading a video, you can also upload a **Video Thumbnail Image** — a still image shown in the card carousel before the video plays (JPG, JPEG, PNG, max 20MB)
3. Add a **Thumbnail Title** — the label shown on the card in your lounge's carousel
4. Add a **Card Title** and **Subtitle** — shown when a guest opens the full card (up to 120 characters)
5. Optionally, turn on **Include a Call-to-Action button?** to add a button to the card:
   * Choose **Open URL** to link to any webpage or file
   * Choose **Sign-up Form** to capture guest details. Add a **Button Text** for the card button, then configure the form title, description, success message, mailing list option, and an optional redeemable — the same options as a Sign-up Form link (see below)
6. Optionally, set the card to appear only on certain days and times — useful for promoting a lunch special only during lunch hours
7. Optionally, restrict the card to specific stores
8. Select **Save Card**

Cards can be toggled on or off at any time, and reordered by dragging.

> **Tip:** Already posting on Instagram Stories or TikTok? Reuse that content here — the 9:16 format is the same. No need to create anything from scratch.

### Links

Links appear as full-width buttons on your Virtual Lounge. When a guest taps one, it either opens a webpage or launches a sign-up form.

There are two link types:

**Open URL** — directs guests to any webpage or file: your e-menu, your online shop, your booking page, a PDF, or any URL. You can also upload a file directly (PDF, JPG, PNG, GIF, max 20MB).

**Sign-up Form** — launches a form that captures guest details. When setting up a Sign-up Form, you configure:

* **Sign-up Form Title** — the headline guests see on the form (e.g., "Sign up now!")
* **Sign-up Form Description** — a short line explaining what they're signing up for (up to 120 characters)
* **Sign-up Success Message** — the thank-you message shown after they submit
* **Make subscription to mailing list compulsory** — turn this on if you want guests automatically added to your marketing list when they complete the form
* **Offer a redeemable for signing up?** — optionally attach a redeemable from one of your campaigns (e.g., a free welcome drink). Guests receive it after submitting the form

Sign-up Form links are how you turn a Virtual Lounge visit into a new contact in your guest database — and optionally, into a guest who has a reason to come back. Guest details captured are stored in your customer database and accessible from **Customers** in your Merchant Admin. To set up a redeemable to attach, see **Redeemables**.

Both link types support two visibility controls:

* **Show this link on Selected Days and Times** — set the days of the week and a start/end time for each. Use this to show your lunch menu only during lunch hours, or a happy hour promotion only on weekday evenings
* **Show this link only for Selected Stores** — choose which stores this link appears for. Use this for store-specific menus or promotions

To add a link:

1. Select **+ Add Link**
2. Enter a **Link Title** — this is what guests read before they tap, so make it specific and action-oriented
3. Choose the link type: **Open URL** or **Sign-up Form**
4. Add the URL or upload a file, or set up your sign-up form
5. Optionally, set day and time rules or restrict the link to specific stores
6. Select **Save Link**

> **Tip:** "View Menu" works. "Claim Free Welcome Drink (New Members Only)" works better — it tells guests exactly what they'll get.

### Brand Colours

A consistent brand colour makes your Virtual Lounge feel like an extension of your restaurant, not a generic page. Set your **Primary Colour** to apply it to buttons and highlights on the consumer-facing page.

### Social Profiles

Your Virtual Lounge is often the first place new guests encounter your brand online — make it easy for them to follow you. Add your social media URLs here — Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, WhatsApp, and more (including Xiao Hong Shu, WeChat, Line App, and Telegram). These appear as icons in the footer of your Virtual Lounge.

## Sharing Your Virtual Lounge

Your Virtual Lounge is only as useful as the guests who find it. Here are the main ways to distribute it:

**As your social media bio link.** Your Virtual Lounge is designed to replace generic link-in-bio tools. Go to **Virtual Lounge > Get Instructions** to copy your unique URL and get step-by-step guidance for adding it to Instagram, TikTok, and other platforms.

**QR code for physical assets.** Go to **Virtual Lounge > Get QR Codes** to download a printable QR code — ideal for table cards, standees, or your restaurant entrance. Choose **By Brand** for a single QR code that works across all your stores, or **By Store** to generate a unique QR code per store (useful for tracking engagement separately by location, or directing guests to a store-specific lounge). QR codes are available to download in JPG, PNG, and SVG formats.

**Announcement banner.** Use the **Announcement** feature to add a short text banner (up to 120 characters) at the top of your Virtual Lounge. Good for real-time updates like "Fully booked this Saturday" or "New weekend brunch menu is here." Select **Clear Announcement** to remove it when it's no longer relevant.

## Tracking Performance

Understanding which cards and links get the most attention helps you double down on what's working. Go to **Virtual Lounge > View Analytics** to see how guests are engaging with your lounge.

| Metric | What it shows |
| --------------------------- | ------------------------------------------------ |
| Sessions | Total visits to your Virtual Lounge |
| Total Users | Unique visitors |
| Story Impressions | How many times your Engagement Cards were viewed |
| Link Clicks | How many times guests tapped a link |
| Engagement Card Performance | Breakdown of views per individual card |

Use the date range filter to compare periods or identify which cards and links are driving the most engagement.
