# Marketing

Every guest who orders online, books a table, or pays at your terminal becomes a contact in your customer database. Marketing is where you turn that database into revenue — by staying in touch with guests automatically and sending them reasons to come back.

Oddle's marketing tools live in Merchant Admin under the **Engage** section. They work together to help you reach your guests through the right channel, at the right time, with the right offer.

## Email Marketing

Email is the primary marketing channel in Oddle. It's built around two complementary tools:

**Automations** are always-on emails that trigger based on guest behaviour — an abandoned cart, a lapsed diner, a cancelled reservation. You set them up once and they run every day, reaching the right guest at the right moment without your team lifting a finger.

**Broadcasts** are one-off email campaigns you create and send to a targeted audience — a new menu launch, a seasonal promotion, a holiday greeting. You control when they go out and who receives them.

Both automations and broadcasts consume **marketing credits** from your plan. You can see your remaining credits and usage at the top of the Email Marketing page.

## Redeemables

Redeemables are the incentive layer — vouchers, rewards, and deals that give guests a tangible reason to visit or order again. You create redeemable campaigns in Merchant Admin, then distribute them through email campaigns, automations, your Virtual Lounge, enrolment programmes, or even in-store.

Redeemables connect directly to your marketing emails — you can embed a redeemable block in any broadcast or automation so guests can claim it right from the email.

## What's Connected

Marketing doesn't work in isolation — it's connected to the rest of the Oddle platform:

**Customer Intelligence** provides the audience. Your customer database, segments (first-timers, regulars, VIPs, lapsed guests), and power filters determine who receives your emails. The better your customer data, the more targeted your marketing.

**Oddle Shop and Oddle Reserve** generate the triggers. When a guest abandons a cart, completes a reservation, or goes quiet for 60 days, automations can respond automatically.

**Redeemables** give you something to offer. Create vouchers and rewards, then distribute them through your emails, Virtual Lounge, or enrolment programme to drive return visits.
