# \[SG] Understanding Your Fees

Knowing exactly what Oddle charges — and on what — is what lets you price delivery, set promotions and read your payout statement with confidence.

This page walks through every fee, with the maths shown on a real order so you can check it against your own statement.

Oddle only charges you when a product is used. For Delivery & Takeaway, fees come off your payout before it reaches you.

For other products, how you pay depends on the payment method chosen for your plan in Merchant Admin — deduction from your payout, credit or debit card, or bank transfer. Either way, every fee appears as its own line in **Merchant Admin** > **Account** > **Billings** > **Statements**.

Oddle is GST-registered, so 9% GST applies to all Oddle fees below. It's shown as a separate line on your statement and invoice.

The rates here are Oddle's standard rates. If your agreement sets a different rate, your agreement applies — you can always see your own rates in your billing statement.

### **Shop Fees: How the Two Fees Fit Together**

Every online order has two parts:

**Food charges** — the items in the basket, after any discount, before GST.

**Other charges** — the delivery fee the guest paid, GST, the BCRS deposit, and any other tax or store charge you've added at checkout.

Food charges are subject to the **10% usage fee**, and that fee already includes the cost of processing the payment — so no separate processing fee is charged on the food. Other charges aren't covered by the usage fee, so the **payment processing fee** is charged on those separately.

Nothing is charged twice. The next two sections use the same order throughout: **S$100 of food and S$8 delivery, both GST-inclusive — S$108 paid by the guest**.

### **1. Shop — Usage Fee**

The usage fee is how Oddle Shop earns its keep: **10% of the food in every online order**, and nothing when there's no order. You're not paying a subscription for an Oddle Shop that sits idle — you pay when guests buy.

The fee is worked out on the food after discounts. If a guest uses a S$10 voucher on a S$100 basket, the usage fee is charged on S$90. If you sponsor an Oddle Eats or Insider voucher, the amount you sponsor also comes off before the 10% is applied; amounts sponsored by Oddle do not, because Oddle pays you that value in full. On your statement, the discounted, GST-free food amount is called the **Effective Billable Amount**.

#### **If You Are GST-Registered**

Your S$100 basket already includes 9% GST, so the food itself is S$100 ÷ 1.09 = **S$91.74**. The usage fee is 10% of that.

#### **If You Are Not GST-Registered**

There's no GST inside the basket, so the food is simply S$100.

Effective Billable Amount = basket subtotal after discounts ÷ 1.09 (skip the division if you don't charge GST). Usage fee = 10% of that.

#### **Refunds and Offline Orders**

**Full refund** — No usage fee for that order.

**Partial refund** — The usage fee is recalculated on the food the guest kept. If S$20 of food is refunded from the S$100 basket, the fee is 10% of the remaining S$80 (÷ 1.09 if you're GST-registered).

**Offline orders** — No usage fee. This covers orders keyed in manually on the Oddle Dashboard or the Register App, and orders paid by cash or bank transfer.

**Late refunds** — If a refund is processed after the billing cycle has closed, the usage fee you were charged comes back in a later statement under Adjustments from Previous Cycles.

### **2. Shop — Payment Processing Fee**

Every online card payment costs money to move — the card networks and payment provider take their cut the moment a guest pays. Oddle passes this through at **2.8% + S$0.30 per order** (effective 24 April 2025).

The usage fee already covers processing on the food, so the processing fee applies to **the other charges in the payment**.

In Singapore that means:

* The **delivery fee** your guest paid at checkout, including any surcharge you've passed on.
* **GST** — on the food and on the delivery fee.
* **Other checkout charges** — any service charge, packaging fee or similar you've set up under Menus > Tax and Charges.
* The **BCRS beverage container deposit** collected on drinks.

#### **What Happens on a Refund**

This is where the two Shop fees part ways. The usage fee is Oddle's — so when an order is refunded, Oddle gives it back. The processing fee has already been paid to the card networks — so it isn't returned, and on a full refund it's charged on the whole amount that moved.

**Full refund.** The S$108 order is refunded in full. No usage fee, but the processing fee becomes (2.8% × 108.00) + 0.30 = **S$3.32**. Same rule whether or not you charge GST.

**Partial refund**. S$20 of food is refunded. The usage fee drops to 10% of the remaining food. The processing fee stays at **S$0.76**, because the delivery fee and GST weren't refunded.

Processing fees also apply to **payment links** you send manually from the iPad or Android app, and to orders where the food amount is zero (for example, an order made up entirely of a delivery fee). On your statement these appear as **Payment Gateway Fees**.

### **3. Shop — Delivery Fee**

Delivery is the most operationally complex part of online ordering, and Oddle's managed logistics takes it off your plate — you prepare the food, Oddle coordinates the rider. This fee is what that costs.

You only pay it when Oddle's managed logistics fulfils the order. If your own team delivers, Oddle charges nothing.

Oddle charges a **fixed price based on vehicle type and distance**, and the price is the same no matter which delivery partner ends up on the job. That predictability is the point: you can forecast your delivery cost without guessing.

The fee covers active monitoring by Oddle's logistics operations team, driver top-ups when needed to secure your orders (absorbed by Oddle), backup driver sourcing when a match isn't found in time, and compensation coverage for delivery incidents under the Logistics Terms of Service.

#### **Base Rates**

Distance is rounded up to the next whole kilometre. Some agreements are on an earlier rate card (S$12 bike / S$20–22 car / S$36 van); your statement shows the rate that applies to you. #### **Surcharges**

When a public holiday falls on a weekend, **only the holiday surcharge applies** — it replaces the weekend surcharge, so you're never charged both. The dynamic surcharge can sit on top of either.

### **4. Reserve — Fees on Paid Reservations**

No-shows cost real money, and deposits, prepayments and card guarantees are how Oddle Reserve protects you against them. When you collect one, the money moves through Oddle and is included in your payouts.

There's no usage fee on Reserve. The only charge is a **payment processing fee of 3.4%** on each amount collected — a deposit, a prepayment, or a no-show fee charged to a guaranteed card. Free-to-book reservations cost nothing.

**Example.** A guest pays a S$100 deposit for a party of five. Oddle's fee is 3.4% × 100 = **S$3.40**; if your Reserve fees are deducted from payouts, S$96.60 is paid out to you. When the guest dines and you apply the deposit to their bill, nothing further is charged.

**If you refund a deposit or prepayment**, the guest gets their money back but the 3.4% processing fee isn't returned — it was charged when the payment was taken, just like the Shop processing fee. The refunded amount is recovered from your next payout.

Refunds to guests are handled from the Host App **Transactions** tab. Payments you take outside Oddle and record as *Manual Payment* don't pass through Oddle, so there's no Oddle fee on them.

### **5. Terminal — Processing Rate**

Every card payment on your Oddle Terminal is charged a **processing rate** — a percentage plus a small fixed amount per transaction. The standard rates depend on where the card was issued:

| **Foreign**                        | 3.2% + S$0.17     |

**Example.** A guest pays S$50 on a Singapore-issued card: (2.4% × 50) + 0.08 = **S$1.28**. On a foreign card: (3.2% × 50) + 0.17 = **S$1.77**.

Your agreement may set a different rate. To see yours: **Merchant Admin** > **Account Settings** > **Billings** > **Statement** > open the latest Terminal statement > download it > look for the **Usage Fees Percent** column.

**Refunds and adjustments.** If you refund a Terminal payment, the processing rate charged on the original payment isn't returned. If you adjust the charge amount after payment (for example to add a tip or correct a total), the processing rate is recalculated on the new amount.

### **Fees Are Worked Out Per Order**

Every fee on this page is calculated on each order, booking or transaction individually, then added up for your statement. Percentages are applied line by line and the fixed part of the processing fee is charged once per order, so working out a rate on your total sales for the period will give a slightly different number from your statement.

### **Reading Your Statement**

Delivery & Takeaway fees come off your payout before it reaches your bank; fees for other products are either deducted or billed to your chosen payment method. Here's what each label means:

Where fees are deducted from payouts: if a cycle can't cover the fees owed, the balance carries into the next cycle, and deductions are applied in this order — Terminal, then Delivery & Takeaway, then Reserve.

You charged the guest S$8 for delivery, so your net delivery cost on this order is S$13.00 − S$8.00 = S$5.00. That gap — and whether the extra orders a lower fee brings in outweigh it — is the decision your delivery pricing comes down to.
